Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is offering an exciting fixed-term role within Specialist Children’s Services to drive patient engagement and experience across Community Paediatrics, CAMHS and Acute Paediatrics. You will partner with families, carers and young people to shape services through meaningful involvement and co-design, under the Patient Experience and Public Involvement team.

The role emphasises partnership working, inclusivity, and evidence-based activity design, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in community engagement or public involvement.
• Knowledge of Patients' Rights (Scotland) Act 2011 and Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015.
• Understanding of relevant legislation, policies and quality frameworks.
• Experience in developing engagement plans and stakeholder mapping.
• Experience in designing and delivering training programmes.
• Strong IT skills and proficiency with relevant software.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver and evaluate engagement activities with children, young people, families and communities.
• Provide expert advice on engagement approaches to staff and clinical teams.
• Support service improvement through patient and carer feedback.
• Develop and deliver training programmes.
• Produce reports and analyse engagement data.
• Build partnerships with stakeholders and voluntary groups.
• Lead on digital engagement approaches and social media initiatives.
• Ensure engagement activities are inclusive and aligned with legislation and quality frameworks.
