Derby City Council is offering a Level 7 Health and Care Intelligence Specialist apprenticeship within the Public Health Knowledge and Intelligence Team. You will gain hands-on experience analysing health data, producing intelligence products and supporting public health programmes, with a view to improving local health outcomes and reducing inequalities.

The role is designed for someone with up to 3 years’ experience, requiring a degree or equivalent and the ability to study at postgraduate

Qualifications

• Have a degree or equivalent qualification or be able to demonstrate the ability to study at postgraduate level.
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Be comfortable working with data and have an interest in developing advanced analytical and intelligence skills.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to different audiences.
• Be committed to learning and professional development through completion of a Level 7 apprenticeship.

Responsabilités

• Support public health intelligence projects, including health needs assessments and JSNA.
• Collect, manage, analyse and interpret health, demographic and service data to identify trends.
• Use analytical and business intelligence tools to produce insights and visualisations.
• Conduct literature reviews and assess evidence to support public health decisions.
• Develop reports, dashboards, presentations and briefings for varied audiences.
• Collaborate with council, NHS and partners to inform planning and improvement.
• Ensure data handling aligns with information governance and data protection requirements.
• Contribute to innovative intelligence approaches and best practice.
• Support promotion of intelligence use across the organisation.
• Complete Level 7 apprenticeship requirements and apply learning at work.
