Job summary

East Sussex County Council is seeking a Public Health Analyst for the Public Health Intelligence Team on a 36-month fixed-term basis. The role delivers data analysis across the council and health system, while undertaking a fully funded Level 7 apprenticeship with 20% of time set aside for study.

Hybrid working is offered with some in-person days in Lewes. Applicants should have no more than three years of experience and must not hold a public health degree or a qualification above master's

Qualifications

• A statistical module studied at university, or a willingness to learn and apply statistics in a project.
• Experience in health data analysis or data management is beneficial.
• FEDIP registration indicates professional standing in health informatics.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytical projects from scoping through to delivery.
• Provide data management and analysis to support the department and the wider system.
• Use data to identify local health needs and inform decisions.
• Contribute to service improvement and change initiatives.
• Design and deliver training or knowledge-sharing activities.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
