Job summary

East Sussex County Council is seeking an enthusiastic early-career Public Health Analyst to join the Public Health Intelligence Team in Lewes. You will be employed as a Public Health Analyst, earning a salary while completing a fully funded Level 7 Health and Care Intelligence Specialist apprenticeship.

The role is a 36-month fixed-term, full-time position (37 hours/week). The apprenticeship blends practical work with professional development.

Qualifications

• Must have studied a statistical module at university or be able to apply statistics to a project.
• Math qualifications or experience include STEM degree, social sciences with research methods/stats, or Level 4+ qualification with substantial mathematical content.
• Professional registration with FEDIP through AphA at Practitioner or Senior Practitioner level or equivalent analytical work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytical projects from scoping through to delivery.
• Involvement in service improvement and change initiatives.
• Design and deliver training or knowledge-sharing activities.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders to support decision-making.
