Job summary

Portsmouth City Council is seeking a Public Health Intelligence Analyst Apprentice (Specialist Level 7) on a fixed-term contract for up to 36 months. The apprentice will undertake Level 7 Health and Care Intelligence Specialist training with JGA, combining on‑the‑job work with 6 hours of off‑the‑job training weekly.

You will join the Strategic Intelligence and Research Team to support JSNA delivery, data analysis and meaningful visualisations, while collaborating with university and NHS

Qualifications

• Degree level in Public Health, statistics or a related subject, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in analytical, intelligence or research environment preferred.
• Ability to analyse and present complex population-level data using appropriate methods.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of public health intelligence functions, including JSNA.
• Gather, quality assure, analyse and interpret population data.
• Produce reports, visualisations and dashboards for decision-making and commissioning.
