Job summary

Mid Devon District Council is seeking an enthusiastic Housing Options Assistant to join the busy Public Health and Housing Options Service in Tiverton. The role is 37 hours per week and supports the Housing Options Team with Devon Home Choice applications, case reviews and data reporting.

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for customers seeking homelessness assistance, offering basic guidance, signposting and careful case note recording.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ in Business Admin/Customer Services preferred.
• Recent customer services experience in a similar role.
• Proven business support skills, ideally in a statutory/regulatory environment.
• Full driving licence and own transport preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist applicants with Devon Home Choice applications and provide guidance.
• Advise customers, review cases and update case notes.
• Triage cases and support the duty rota to manage workload.
• Collate data for government returns and funding bids.
