Job summary

Crazy Bear Stadhampton in the United Kingdom is seeking a Public Areas Cleaner to join its housekeeping team and keep the hotel’s shared spaces clean, safe and guest-ready. You’ll tend the areas guests see—from the restaurants and bar to toilets, entrances and outdoor spaces—and may help prepare bedrooms when needed.

Shifts typically run 7am–2pm. You’ll be part of a busy team, with training provided and the chance to progress.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the hotel’s public areas
• Clean and regularly check guest toilets
• Prepare restaurants and bar areas for service
• Clean entrances, corridors, stairways and shared spaces
• Keep indoor and outdoor guest areas clean and presentable
• Vacuum, sweep, mop and clean surfaces
• Empty bins and dispose of waste safely
• Restock toiletries and cleaning supplies
• Respond to spills and other cleaning needs promptly
• Report damage, maintenance issues and safety risks
• Use cleaning products and equipment correctly
• Support housekeeping with bedrooms during busy periods
• Work with other departments to minimise disruption to guests

Public Areas Cleaner

Clean public areas are easy to overlook. That's the point.

We're looking for a Public Areas Cleaner to join our housekeeping team and keep the hotel's shared spaces clean, safe and ready for guests.

You'll be responsible for the areas everyone sees from the restaurants and bar to the toilets, entrances and outdoor spaces. You may also help prepare bedrooms when the housekeeping team needs additional support. The usual shift is 7am-2pm.

What you'll be doing

• Cleaning and maintaining the hotel's public areas
• Cleaning and regularly checking guest toilets
• Preparing the restaurants and bar areas for service
• Cleaning entrances, corridors, stairways and shared spaces
• Keeping indoor and outdoor guest areas clean and presentable
• Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and cleaning surfaces
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste safely
• Restocking toiletries and cleaning supplies
• Responding promptly to spills and other cleaning requirements
• Reporting damage, maintenance problems and potential safety risks
• Using cleaning products and equipment correctly
• Supporting the housekeeping team with bedrooms during busy periods
• Working with other departments to keep disruption to guests to a minimum
