The Role

At Holland & Barrett, we're shaping the future of health and wellness. As a Public Affairs Executive, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing our reputation, managing key relationships, and influencing policy agendas across the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of strategic public affairs plans to position H&B as a leader in health and wellness.
  • Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, trade organizations, and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor government legislation, parliamentary records, and horizon-scan for key updates and opportunities.
  • Create policy publications, including briefs and blogs, delivering insightful content for target audiences.
  • Represent H&B at events, forums, and meetings to enhance visibility and communicate corporate priorities.
  • Support crisis communications, ensuring brand alignment and transparency with external stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic advice on public affairs and stakeholder engagement to internal teams.

Location: This is a hybrid role with requirements to be in either our London or Nuneaton hub at least twice a week.

The Person
  • Proven experience in public affairs or government relations.
  • Strong relationship-building skills to engage stakeholders and political contacts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in navigating government institutions, news flow, and parliamentary processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of trade associations, including social media and website engagement.
  • Experience in the health and wellness, retail, or a related industry is desirable.
