Job summary

Haven is seeking a Pub Shift Leader to join the JD Wetherspoon team in Greater London. You will lead shifts, guide staff, and ensure smooth operations and exceptional service across busy bar and dining periods.

You'll inspire a Guest-first approach, uphold high food standards, and maintain safety and compliance with company policies. Flexible availability for weekends, evenings and holidays is preferred; training and support are provided to develop leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Experience as hospitality Shift Leader, Team Leader or Supervisor preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Detail-oriented, especially with food orders
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the team by assigning tasks, ensuring smooth workflow, and motivating the team to deliver excellent service.
• Provide prompt, professional guest service, addressing complaints and special requests.
• Oversee food preparation, ensuring quality, taste, and compliance with standards.
• Maintain adherence to food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness regulations.
• Assist in training new team members on company policies and procedures.
• Participate in team duties while stepping up as the shift leader when assigned.

Position: Pub Shift Leader - JD Wetherspoon
Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Seasonal
Pay Rates: Up to £13.71 per hour depending on age

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our energetic JD Wetherspoon team, leading assigned shifts with clear direction and plenty of motivation. You’ll inspire the team to provide fantastic guest experiences, high-quality food standards and perfect fresh, flavourful authentic dishes.
