The Carpenter Arms in Cambridge is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee all pub operations, maintain front and back of house standards, and lead a passionate team to deliver exceptional food and drink experiences.

Qualifications

• Previous General Management experience, ideally in wet led community pub environment.
• Excellent operational skills and back-office management.
• Full financial understanding and ability to react to changing business needs.
• Ability to lead from the front and train the team.
• Ambitious, result-driven with passion for hospitality.
• Energetic, vibrant and capable of motivating a team.

Responsibilities

• Overall management of the pub, maintaining front and back of house standards to drive excellence in food and drink delivery.
• Ensuring guests are cared for to the highest standards and expectations exceeded.
• Delivering against key measures of sales, profit, and team retention whilst having fun along the way!
• Conduct regular stock control and compare to usage reports including waste records to identify opportunities for tighter control.
• Create and maintain a motivated team with excellent standards identifying talent and ensuring succession.
• Regular employee appraisals and implementation of performance management.
