The Landor Pub in Clapham is recruiting an experienced General Manager to lead a high-volume, busy pub with live sport, events, and a loyal local following.

You will drive sales, profit and guest experience, manage a large FOH team and HR processes, and have real autonomy to shape the business while maintaining the highest standards of service and compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a General Manager in a high-volume pub or bar.
• Strong experience in HR processes and team performance management.
• Commercially astute with solid financial understanding.
• Leads from the front and excels with customers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales, profit, and operational excellence.
• Lead and develop a large front-of-house team.
• Manage HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, disciplinaries and staff welfare.
• Ensure compliance with employment law and company procedures.
• Deliver high standards across service, atmosphere, and compliance.
• Manage labour, stock, and GP control.
• Be a hands-on leader who is visible on the floor during busy services.
• Maximise revenue through events, sport and peak trading periods.

About the Role

As General Manager, you will have full responsibility for the performance of the business, including:

• Drivingsales, profit, and operational excellence
• Leading, developing and inspiring alarge front-of-house team
• Managing all aspects ofHR, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, disciplinaries and staff welfare
• Ensuring full compliance withemployment law and company procedures
• Delivering high standards acrossservice, atmosphere, and compliance
• Managinglabour, stock, and GP control
• A hands-on leader who is visible on the floor and leads the team through busy services
• Maximising revenue throughevents, sport and peak trading periods

This is a role for someone who is as comfortable on the floor during a busy service as they are reviewing the weekly P&L and planning the week ahead.
