Job summary

The Cyclist, part of Urban Pubs & Bars, is seeking a General Manager in London with live-in accommodation. You will own all aspects of running the venue, delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving commercial success and staff development.

The role offers growth within a progressive, operations-led hospitality business. Ideal candidates bring 2+ years as a GM, strong leadership, excellent communication, and a passion for people, training and delivering memorable hospitality

The Cyclist is a modern British pub in Balham - one of south London's most vibrant neighbourhoods. Situated just across the road from Balham Station, with an all-day food offering during the week, Saturday brunch and Sunday lunch - it’s the ideal place for a few pints, a quick bite, or dinner with friends and family. Our street-side terrace is made for al fresco drinking and dining.

Urban Pubs & Bars are currently recruiting for a talented and highly skilled General Manager with personality and charisma for our expanding group. The Role

• As GM, you will take full ownership of all aspects of running the venue. You will be given autonomy and run the site as if it were your own business.
• Being business-savvy and demonstrating great commercial acumen is a must.
• Your team will look up to you, so it's essential to train, nurture and develop your staff to maintain incredibly high standards and customer satisfaction.
• You have impeccable floor, bar and late-night experience.
• You will be given the opportunity to train, personally develop and progress your career as the company continues to grow.

What We’re Looking For

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a General Manager, depending on the property being considered.

• Excellent all-round business knowledge, from financials to customer satisfaction.
• An entrepreneurial flair.
• Passionate about people, training, mentoring and growing a team, but most importantly, someone who loves to have fun.
• Personal Licence holder beneficial.
