Job summary

Marston’s is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our friendly pub team and help lead daily operations in a dynamic, community-focused setting. You will step in when the General Manager isn’t around, guiding staff to deliver memorable guest experiences.

You’ll motivate the team across shifts, drive key business KPIs, and uphold the company’s values. This role offers progression pathways through our Aspire programme and a supportive, people-first culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in a like-for-like Assistant/Deputy Manager role in a branded pub environment.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities to motivate the team.
• Passion for delivering memorable guest experiences and community-friendly service.

Responsibilities

• Be part of the pub management team, stepping up when the General Manager isn’t around.
• Lead from the front to create memorable experiences that bring guests back.
• Support the GM in achieving financial and business KPI’s.
• Inspire and motivate the pub team on every shift.
• Be accountable for the successful operation of the pub when deputising for the GM.
