Job summary

Seqens Custom Specialties in the United Kingdom seeks a Permits to Work Coordinator to oversee safe and efficient maintenance and project activities using the PTW system. The role requires deep knowledge of hot work, confined space entry, energy isolation, and life-critical guard requirements, with close collaboration to the EHS department.

You will issue permits, monitor status in real time, conduct audits, and coach staff on PTW practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in the chemical industry.
• Knowledge of permit to work systems (hot work, isolation, confined space, etc.).
• Strong safety focus and incident prevention.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and meet deadlines.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Issue permits (high/low energy hot work, etc.).
• Monitor and update the Permit Tracker for real-time status.
• Audits and coaching on PTW processes.
• Apply EH&S policies and provide system training.
• Lead investigations into unplanned events and document actions.
• Coordinate permit activities during shutdowns and projects.
