Job summary

Anglian Water Group Ltd. is seeking a Permit Control Officer to manage the PTW lifecycle for high-risk operations at our Norwich facility. You will lead daily permit meetings, validate risk assessments, and ensure compliance across electrical isolations and access controls.

The role emphasizes safety leadership, collaboration with site teams, and driving continuous improvement in permit processes to safeguard staff and assets.

Qualifications

• Experience working with a Permit To Work (PTW) system on high-hazard sites.
• Solid understanding of health, safety and process safety regulations.
• Ability to assess risks and make sound operational decisions.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills; able to challenge and improve.
• Passion for teamwork, learning, and delivering quality results.

Responsibilities

• Manage, issue, and close PTW permits for site activities with robust risk assessment.
• Host daily permit meetings to coordinate tasks and prevent conflicts (SIMOPs).
• Conduct site inductions, inspections, and audits to uphold safety standards.
• Oversee mechanical and electrical isolations (LOTO) and site access controls.
• Support incident management and share lessons learned for improvement.
• Collaborate with operational teams and stakeholders to drive efficiency.
