Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking experienced PTS Electricians to join a major rail programme on the East Coast Main Line. The role covers electrical installation, maintenance, and upgrade works across railway assets, with a mix of day and night shifts.

Applicants should have a strong electrical background, rail experience, and relevant certifications (PTS, ECS Gold Card, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). Immediate starts available for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electrician within rail, infrastructure, construction, or industrial environments.
• Valid PTS certification
• Current ECS Gold Card
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• Experience with containment, cabling, and electrical infrastructure installations
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, testing, and maintenance on rail infrastructure.
• Install containment, tray, trunking, conduit, and cabling.
• Read and work from drawings, schematics, and installation plans.
• Ensure work complies with standards, specs, and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and site teams for delivery.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.

East Coast Main Line | Contract | Days & Nights

We're looking for experienced PTS Electricians to join a major programme of works on the East Coast Main Line. This is a great opportunity to work on a long-term rail infrastructure project carrying out electrical installation, maintenance, and upgrade works across a range of railway assets.

The successful candidates will have a strong electrical background and be comfortable working in a rail environment, delivering work safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

What you'll be doing:

• Carrying out electrical installation, testing, and maintenance activities on rail infrastructure projects
• Installing containment, tray, trunking, conduit, and cabling systems
• Reading and working from drawings, schematics, and installation plans
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with relevant standards, specifications, and safety procedures
• Working closely with supervisors, engineers, and other site teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment at all times

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience as an Electrician within rail, infrastructure, construction, or industrial environments
• Valid PTS certification
• Current ECS Gold Card
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification
• Experience with containment, cabling, and electrical infrastructure installations
