Job summary

Prospero Teaching is currently seeking a Psychology Teacher in Rotherham to deliver A Level Psychology and BTEC programmes for post-16 learners in a supportive FE environment. You will teach across Level 3 Psychology, covering topics from Social Influence to Research Methods, and help students develop research and critical thinking skills through practical investigations.

A relevant degree and recognised teaching qualification are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Psychology or related subject.
• Qualified teacher status (PGCE, Cert Ed, QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Level 3 Psychology.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the discipline.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Experience teaching both A Level and BTEC Psychology is desirable but not essential.

We are working with a highly regarded Further Education provider in Rotherham to recruit a passionate and engaging Psychology Teacher to deliver both A Level Psychology and BTEC Psychology programmes.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful Social Sciences department, teaching motivated learners and helping them progress to university and careers in Psychology, Mental Health, Criminology, Social Work, Education and related fields.

The Role

You will deliver high-quality teaching across Level 3 Psychology programmes, supporting students to develop a strong understanding of human behaviour, mental processes and psychological research.

Topics taught include:

• Social Influence
• Memory
• Attachment
• Mental Health and Psychopathology
• Approaches in Psychology
• Biopsychology
• Research Methods and Statistics
• Gender Development
• Schizophrenia
• Aggression

You will also support students in developing their research, analytical and critical thinking skills through practical investigations and applied learning.

About You
