Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in Gateshead. This role is full-time term-time and offers a daily rate of £98–£115 with start ASAP.

You’ll work closely with experienced teachers to support pupils with diverse needs, including one-to-one and small-group activities, helping access learning, developing communication, and promoting positive behaviour and independence in a supportive education environment.

Qualifications

• A psychology degree provides foundation in child development and behaviour.
• No prior SEND school experience required.
• Support is provided by experienced teachers and education professionals.

Protocol Education is recruiting a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in Gateshead.

This is an opportunity to work directly with children and young people who require additional support, while gaining valuable experience that can support your future career.

You don't need to have worked in a SEND school before. You'll be supported by experienced teachers and education professionals as you develop your understanding of individual needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
