Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. in Ashford, Kent is seeking a Psychology Graduate to work as an SEN Teaching Assistant. You will support pupils with SEN in classroom and small-group settings, helping them reach their potential.

Pay: £93.00 - £100.00 per day

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers and therapists to help pupils reach their full potential. Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support.
• Supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
• Encouraging communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.
• Helping implement individual learning and behaviour support plans.
• Building positive relationships with pupils to promote confidence and independence.

You’ll Be Supporting Pupils With

• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• ADHD
• Moderate, Severe and Profound Learning Difficulties (MLD, SLD & PMLD)
• Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• Physical disabilities and complex medical needs
• Sensory processing differences

We’re Looking For

• A degree in Psychology (or a closely related subject).
• A genuine interest in supporting children and young people with additional needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy and resilience.
• Previous experience working with children or vulnerable adults is desirable but not essential.
