Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking Psychology graduates to join East Kent SEN schools as Teaching Assistants, offering full-time and part-time roles with day rates of £93–£100. This is an excellent stepping stone toward careers in Educational Psychology, Speech & Language Therapy or Teaching.

You will support pupils with ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and other needs, helping with academic and pastoral development while working alongside skilled therapists and teachers.

Qualifications

• A degree in Psychology (or a related subject)
• A genuine passion for supporting children and young people
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, resilience and a positive attitude
• Previous experience working with children or vulnerable adults is desirable but not essential

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with several specialist SEN schools across East Kent, so we're looking for enthusiastic, compassionate and motivated Psychology graduates to join our team as Teaching Assistants on both full-time and part-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to apply your knowledge of child development, behaviour and mental health while making a genuine difference to the lives of young people with additional needs.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers and therapists to support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including:Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)ADHDSpeech, Language and Communication NeedsSocial, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)Moderate and Severe Learning DifficultiesComplex additional needsYou'll provide both academic and pastoral support, helping students to build confidence, develop social and emotional skills, improve communication and achieve their learning goals.
