Job summary

KPI Recruiting Ltd. is recruiting a Psychology Graduate Learning Support Assistant for a busy secondary school in Walthamstow (E17). The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, supporting students across the secondary age range with 1:1 and small-group support, helping learners access lessons.

The ideal candidate holds a Psychology degree (2:1 or above preferred), is patient, confident and has strong communication with young people. DBS clearance is required or supported through the process.

Qualifications

• Degree in Psychology, 2:1 or above preferred.
• Experience with children is desirable but not required.
• DBS clearance is required or supported through the process.

Responsibilities

• Support students across the secondary school.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support.
• Support students with additional learning needs.
• Assist with classroom activities and behaviour management.
• Work with teachers and the SEN team using psychology knowledge to tailor support.

Are you an Psychology Graduate looking to gain valuable experience working with young people and develop a career within education?

We are currently recruiting for a Psychology Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Walthamstow, E17.

The role:

• Supporting students across the secondary school

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support

• Supporting students with additional learning needs

• Helping students develop confidence, independence and engagement

• Working alongside teachers and the SEN team

• Using your Psychology knowledge to understand and support students’ individual needs

• Assisting with classroom activities and behaviour support

The ideal candidate:

• Psychology degree, ideally 2:1 or above

• Passionate about supporting young people

• Confident, patient and approachable

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Interested in pursuing a career in education, SEN, educational psychology or a related field

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential

DBS required - applicants without a DBS can be supported through the process.
