Job summary

Protocol Education is partnering with specialist schools and alternative provision settings across Wakefield to recruit Psychology graduates seeking hands-on experience in education and support services. This role offers the chance to apply knowledge of behaviour, development and mental health in real classroom settings.

You will support children and young people who need extra guidance, build meaningful relationships, assist with SEMH and SEND, and help raise emotional wellbeing and engagement.

Qualifications

• Psychology degree (or be due to graduate shortly).
• Patient, resilient and empathetic approach.
• Genuine interest in understanding behaviour and supporting young people.
• Willingness to learn, develop and make a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Building positive and meaningful relationships with pupils through patience, consistency and trust
• Supporting children with SEMH, SEND and additional learning needs
• Encouraging emotional wellbeing, confidence and engagement within the classroom
• Working closely with experienced education professionals to provide a safe and supportive learning environment
