Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting Psychology graduates to work as Teaching Assistants in Primary and SEN schools across Sandwell from September 2026.

You’ll work closely with pupils who require additional support, including children with ASC, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties and behavioural needs. 1:1 and small-group SEN support, helping with learning, behaviour and emotional development, and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Psychology graduate with genuine interest in supporting children and young people.
• Excellent verbal communication and ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Patient, resilient and enthusiastic with a proactive attitude to learning and development.

Responsibilities

• 1:1 and small-group SEN support.
• Supporting pupils' learning, behaviour and emotional development.
• Helping children engage successfully in the classroom.
• Building positive relationships and acting as a mentor.
• Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs and other education professionals.
