Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting Psychology graduates to work as Teaching Assistants in Primary and SEN schools across Sandwell from September 2026. You'll work closely with pupils who require additional support, including children with ASC, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties and behavioural needs.

Hours: Monday-Friday, approximately 8:30am-3:30pm Start: September 2026 Location: Birmingham and surrounding areas Contract: Temporary, ongoing Pay: Competitive daily rate dependent on experience and

Qualifications

• Psychology graduates with a genuine desire to support children.
• Willingness to work with pupils needing SEN support.
• Excellent communication and rapport-building abilities.
• DBS check or willingness to obtain one (Update Service preferred).

Responsibilities

• 1:1 and small-group SEN support.
• Support pupils' learning, behaviour and emotional development.
• Help children engage successfully in the classroom.
• Build positive relationships and act as a mentor to learners.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and other education professionals.
