Job summary

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Psychotherapist or Counsellor to support adults with depression, anxiety and long-term conditions within NHS Talking Therapies in Bridgwater. You will deliver evidence-based therapy in a busy, collaborative service, building therapeutic relationships to promote recovery.

You will manage a consistent caseload, support stepped care decisions, stay up to date with guidance, and contribute to service improvements.

Qualifications

• Qualified Psychotherapist or Counsellor with NHS Talking Therapies experience.
• Accreditation as IPTUK or willingness to train.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a busy clinical workload.
• Compassionate, person-centred care and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage a consistent caseload and maintain accessibility of therapy for patients.
• Support stepped care pathways, including appropriate step-up and step-down decisions.
• Keep up to date with best practice, guidelines, and ongoing professional development.
