Job summary

Mid Devon TALKWORKS, part of NHS Talking Therapies, is seeking a qualified counsellor to deliver Counselling for Depression across Tiverton and surrounding areas. The role involves assessing clients, risk work, supervision, and team collaboration in a flexible two-thirds site, one-third remote pattern.

A Diploma in Counselling and registration, with potential promotion to Band 7 after CfD training, are required. Salary ranges from £39,959 to £56,515 per year for a permanent, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Diploma in humanistic and/or person-centred counselling or psychotherapy.
• Registered with a statutory body (e.g. BACP) or equivalent.
• Post-qualifying experience in brief counselling for depression.
• Willingness to complete PCE-CdD training if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Counselling for Depression therapy to clients with depression.
• Assess clients, conduct risk assessments, keep notes and attend supervision.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to service development.
