Job summary

3 Dimensions School in Somerset is seeking a dedicated PSHE Teacher to join our supportive specialist team. You will deliver engaging PSHE lessons, tailor learning to individual needs and help pupils build life skills for adulthood.

The role requires QTS or equivalent teaching qualification, experience with children and young people, and a good understanding of SEN, especially autism. You will collaborate with families and external professionals to support pupil progress.

  • Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly autism, or willingness to develop this expertise.
  • Excellent relationship-building and behaviour management skills.

  • A passion for helping young people develop the skills they need for life.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging PSHE lessons tailored to individual learning needs and personalised pathways.
  • Support pupils' personal development, emotional wellbeing and preparation for adulthood, including relationships and sex education.
  • Promote positive behaviour and create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
  • Support educational visits and wider curriculum activities.
  • Work closely with colleagues, families and external professionals to support pupil progress.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports, reviews and multi-disciplinary meetings.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of every pupil at all times.
