Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking a PSHE SEND Teacher to support pupils in Cheltenham and surrounding areas. The role focuses on making PSHE practical, accessible and meaningful for learners with SEND and diverse needs.

You will help pupils develop emotional wellbeing, relationships, independence and communication skills, adapting lessons to individual abilities and working with Teaching Assistants and specialist staff.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to teach PSHE and life skills to diverse learners.
  • Ability to adapt lessons for SEND pupils with varied needs.
  • Strong classroom management and behavioral strategies.

Location: Cheltenham &surrounding areas
Pay: £150-£250 per day PAYE
Job Type: Flexible Supply, Temporary, Long-Term & Temp-to-Perm Opportunities

About the Role

Connex Education Partnership is looking for PSHE SEND Teachers to support pupils across specialist SEND schools and provisions in Cheltenham and the surrounding areas.

This is a great opportunity for a teacher who can make PSHE practical, accessible and meaningful for pupils with additional needs.

You’ll help young people develop the skills they need beyond the classroom, from emotional wellbeing and relationships to independence, communication and preparing for adult life.

What You Could Teach

Depending on the setting, PSHE may include:

The Pupils

You may teach pupils with:

Autism / ASC | SEMH | ADHD | SLD | PMLD | Communication needs | Sensory needs | Complex learning needs

Some pupils may need additional support with communication, emotional regulation, social interaction or independence, so lessons will need to be adapted to suit individual abilities.

What We're Looking For
  • QTS is essential
  • Experience teaching PSHE, Citizenship, Life Skills or similar is desirable
  • SEND experience is advantageous
  • Ability to adapt lessons for different learning profiles
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • A creative, patient and inclusive approach
