Job summary

Justteachers is seeking a full-time PRU Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant pupil referral unit in Bradford, starting June 2026 on a long-term basis. This supportive, structured setting focuses on re-engaging secondary pupils with education, fostering positive behaviours, resilience and personal development.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour, deliver tailored learning activities, and implement behaviour management strategies to

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting secondary-aged pupils, ideally in PRU or alternative provision.
• Strong knowledge of behaviour management and SEMH support.
• Two education or school-based references.

Responsibilities

• Support secondary-aged students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour on a 1:1 and small group basis.
• Assist in delivering tailored learning activities to re-engage pupils and support academic progress.
• Implement behaviour management strategies and promote positive relationships within the classroom.
