Job summary

Ribbons & Reeves is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant for a PRU in Lewisham. The role supports pupils across multiple subjects, providing one-to-one and small-group learning to overcome barriers to learning.

Ideal candidates have experience with SEMH settings, strong behaviour management and a patient, calm approach. Start is September 2026, with a temp-to-perm pathway and a supportive school environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with PRU, AP, SEMH setting or secondary school is advantageous.
• Ability to support across multiple subjects.
• Patience and adaptability to support disengaged learners.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across a range of subject-specific lessons
• Provide one-to-one and small-group learning support
• Help pupils remain focused, engaged and ready to learn
• Support pupils with SEMH, behavioural and additional learning needs
• Build positive relationships while maintaining boundaries
• Assist teachers with differentiated activities and classroom resources
• Support pupils with emotional regulation and confidence
• Encourage independence, resilience and positive attitudes towards learning
• Work closely with teaching, pastoral and SEN teams
