Role: Prototype Wirer Assembler
Location: Milton Keynes
Contract: Permanent
Salary: GBP25,000 - GBP35,000 + Overtime + Excellent Benefits

As a Prototype Wirer Assembler, you will be building complex switchgear and control panels to the highest standards, using kits of parts and technical drawings. You will take pride in your craft, looming, soldering, crimping, and wiring each assembly to meet exact specifications and standards.

Your day-to-day will involve:

1. Mechanical assembly of electrical switchgear
2. Electrical wiring, looming, and hybrid assemblies
3. Repairs and modifications to panels and equipment
4. Working from engineering drawings, build notes, and schematics

About You

1. Highly experienced in prototype wiring and electrical assembly
2. Skilled in soldering, crimping, looming, and producing neat, accurate layouts
3. Confident working from detailed technical drawings and documentation
4. Ideally certified to IPC 620 / IPC J-STD standards
5. From a defence, aviation, or similarly high-spec industry (preferred, not essential)
6. A strong team player with initiative, flexibility, and a positive attitude
7. Due to the sensitive nature of our client work, candidates will need to meet BPSS and potentially SC security vetting requirements
