Job summary
Niftylift Ltd in Milton Keynes is seeking a hands-on Product Development Technician to advance MEWP concepts from early prototypes to development machines. You will collaborate with Engineers, Technicians, and Test & Validation specialists to turn concepts into functional machines through mechanical, hydraulic and electrical assembly.
role involves building prototype equipment, supporting new design concepts, and delivering feedback to optimise manufacturability, serviceability and performance
Qualifications
- Must have an engineering qualification (HNC, HND or completed apprenticeship) with practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Build and assemble prototype and development MEWPs.
- Support mechanical, hydraulic and electrical development activities.
- Develop component layouts with Design Engineers and implement design improvements.
- Provide feedback to improve manufacturability, serviceability and efficiency.
- Support design changes and continuous product improvement throughout development.
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment in the Development, Test & Validation facility.
- Support EH&S requirements and contribute to team growth.
