Job summary

Bennett And Game Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join an established business within the powered access and MEWP industry. This hands-on role involves assembling mechanical, hydraulic and electrical components on prototype and development machines, reading engineering drawings, and helping bring products from design to working machines.

You will work Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm in Milton Keynes, a 40-hour week with overtime opportunities and benefits such as

Qualifications

• Previous experience in mechanical assembly, engineering or manufacturing.
• A relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship is preferred.
• Practical experience with mechanical, hydraulic and/or electrical systems.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Confident use of hand and power tools.
• Good practical problem solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience within plant, powered access, agricultural machinery, heavy machinery, vehicles or similar engineering environments would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assemble prototype and development machines.
• Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical assembly.
• Work from engineering drawings and technical instructions.
• Use hand and power tools to complete assembly work.
• Identify and resolve build issues.
• Support engineers with new product development and design changes.
• Provide practical feedback to improve products.
• Assist with testing and development of new equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
