Job summary

Hewett Recruitment is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to join a well-established engineering manufacturer on an exciting internal project in the UK.

The role involves build, assembly, testing and fault-finding of complex electro-mechanical products from engineering drawings. You will support prototype builds, first-off assemblies and manufacturing projects, with potential for a permanent opportunity.

Qualifications

• Experience in electro-mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.
• Experience with wiring looms and electrical assemblies is a plus.
• Strong fault-finding and testing capabilities with attention to quality.

Responsibilities

• Build complex electro‑mechanical assemblies.
• Manufacture wiring looms and cable assemblies.
• Prototype and first‑off product builds.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Test and inspect completed assemblies.

Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician

£16.96 per hour | Monday-Friday | 8:00am-5:00pm

Temporary Assignment (5-6 Months) with Genuine Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

Hewett Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to join a well-established engineering manufacturer on an exciting internal project.

The Role

As an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will play a key role in the build, assembly, testing and fault‑finding of complex electro‑mechanical products.

Working from engineering drawings and technical documentation, you will support prototype builds, first‑off assemblies and manufacturing projects while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities will include:

• Building complex electro‑mechanical assemblies
• Manufacturing wiring looms and cable assemblies

This Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician role could be suitable for candidates who have previously worked as:

Electrical Fitter, Mechanical Fitter, Wiring Technician, Panel Wirer, Production Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Prototype Technician, Assembly Technician, Electro-Mechanical Build Technician, Test Technician, Engineering Technician or Assembly Operative within an engineering environment.
