Job summary

YT Technologies in Bristol is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to support prototype hardware components from design to validation, reporting to the Prototype Manufacturing Manager and collaborating with the CAM Programmer. The role requires setting and operating multi-axis machines, interpreting 2D drawings with GD&T, and achieving tight tolerances. Benefits include private medical insurance and annual bonus.

Qualifications

3+ years experience of setting & operating multi axis milling machines & CNC lathes
Knowledge & understanding of Fanuc / ISO G code programming
Competency of using hand measurement tools (EG. micrometres, vernier callipers, etc.)
Strong understanding of 2D drawings and GD&T principles
In depth knowledge of metal cutting tools & techniques
Proficient in machining & inspecting components to <10 tolerance

Responsibilities

Support delivery of prototype hardware components from Design to product Validation teams.
Report to the Prototype Manufacturing Manager and work with the CAM Programmer.
Pivotal in developing hydraulic systems & their applications through machining 1-off & low-volume components to tight tolerances.
