University of Manchester invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in mass spectrometry-based proteomics to lead proteomics work within a Wellcome Discovery Award project on microbial interactions. The role involves DIA proteomics to characterize T6SS-secreted proteins and define modes of action.

Based in the Laboratory for Biomedical Mass Spectrometry under Prof Matthias Trost, you will access timsTOF instruments and collaborate across international teams, planning experiments

Competenze

• PhD or near completion with hands-on MS experience in proteomics.
• Experience running and maintaining mass spectrometry systems.
• Data analysis experience with R.

Mansioni

• Design and run DIA proteomics experiments on complex microbial samples.
• Maintain one of the mass spectrometry and LC systems.
• Publish findings as lead or co-author.
