Job summary

The Bank of England is seeking a Protective Security Officer for Security Ops in London. You will protect people, assets, and information, deliver access control, travel security, and respond to incidents with discretion and accuracy.

Working within the Personnel Security function, you will manage security passes, monitor systems (C-Cure, Morpho Manager), support audits, and develop improvements while maintaining high standards of professionalism and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Previous and recent experience in a security or investigations role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to process and maintain accurate records.
• Able to respond to stakeholder queries professionally, identify when an issue needs escalation.
• Able to handle sensitive information discreetly and work reliably under pressure with limited supervision.
• Proven track record of building effective working relationships with internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Answer queries from stakeholders and liaise with Security Staff and IT/security support.
• Create/remove security photo passes/users profiles and manage credentials with C-Cure and Morpho Manager.
• Provision cards for new employees using Systopia system.
• Control access to privileged areas using C-Cure.
• Produce data reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc basis.
• Maintain team documentation reflecting activities.
