Job summary

The Bank of England is seeking a Personal Security and Safety Analyst in London to assess, manage and mitigate security risks for personnel and operations. The role focuses on business travel, events and referrals related to individuals who may pose a risk to staff and the Bank.

Successful candidates will analyse threats, advise on mitigations, and support the Bank’s risk appetite. Strong judgement, communication and discretion are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience making evidence-based security risk decisions (threats, vulnerabilities, likelihood, impact, mitigations).
• Proven ability to conduct interviews/briefings in security or risk contexts.
• Experience gathering and analysing information from security, geopolitical, travel and events sources.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments for Bank personnel, advising on risk management and when to elevate issues.
• Monitor threats and incidents affecting travellers or events, including crime, terrorism, political instability and health risks.
• Develop, implement and update safety and security policies, procedures and guidance aligned with risk appetite.
• Support the bank's security education programme and training initiatives.
• Represent the Bank professionally with internal and external stakeholders including other central banks and law enforcement.
• Assist with counter-eavesdropping/electronic monitoring activities and related investigations.
