Job summary

AVD Appoint Ltd seeks a Protection Design Engineer in West Sussex to join a multi‑disciplined team. You will design electrical circuits, develop wiring diagrams for manufacturing, and manage BOMs from inception to completion.

Opportunities to contribute to enclosure design may exist and collaboration with purchasing is essential. The role requires at least 5 years in protection or switchgear design, with experience across circuit breakers, MCCBs, MTAG, and REF.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience designing electrical circuits.
• Experience with circuit breakers and LV distribution equipment.
• Proficiency with Electrical Design software, preferably AutoCAD Electrical.

Responsibilities

• Lead full life cycle design from concept to completion.
• Create wiring diagrams for manufacturing and support tenders.
• Prepare BOMs and liaise with purchasing for component procurement.
• Coordinate withMechanical design team for enclosure development when required.
