Job summary

AVD Appoint recruitment is seeking a Power Distribution Design Engineer for a permanent role in West Sussex. You will join a multi-disciplinary team, managing full life cycle design from inception to completion and supporting tenders with conceptual drawings.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years' experience in power distribution or switchgear, and is proficient with AutoCAD Electrical; experience with LV up to 750V, BOM management, and cross-functional collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Power Distribution Design or similar.
• Experience with circuit breakers, MCCB, MTAG, and REF.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead full life cycle design from inception to completion.
• Support sales teams with tenders and conceptual drawings.
• Interpret customer requirements and design electrical circuits; create wiring diagrams; manage BOMs and liaise with purchasing.
