Job summary

Avd Appoint Ltd in West Sussex is seeking a Protection Design Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team on a permanent basis. You will manage full lifecycle design from concept to production, interpret customer requirements, and develop electrical circuits and wiring diagrams, BOMs, and manufacturing transfer.

The role offers up to £65,000 plus benefits, with opportunities to work on varied projects and potential involvement in mechanical enclosure design.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience as a Protection Design Engineer or similar.
• Experience with circuit breakers, MCCB, MTAG and REF.
• Experience with an electrical design package (ideally AutoCAD Electrical).

Responsibilities

• Lead full life cycle design from inception to completion.
• Create electrical circuits, wiring diagrams and BOMs for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and liaise with purchasing for component procurement.
