Job summary

You will collaborate with Project Managers and customers, uphold standards, and influence hiring and development decisions to build a strong, capable team in HV protection and control solutions.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in leading, coaching, or mentoring engineers, with a genuine interest in their development.
• Strong communication skills to effectively manage stakeholders and represent the domain to customers and senior leadership.
• Judgment under pressure, balancing team well-being, delivery pressure and quality.
• Senior-level experience in protection and control engineering for High Voltage substations.
• Collaborative servant-leadership style that empowers others while holding accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations: allocate work, set priorities and resolve conflicts for the team.
• Own capability and standards: ensure consistent ways of working and high-quality deliverables.
• Coach and develop engineers: identify capability gaps and craft development plans.
• Influence hiring and promotions: participate in hiring decisions and career progression.
• Act as a senior point of contact: represent the domain in project discussions with customers and cross-discipline teams.
