Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is inviting applications for a Band 4 Single Point of Contact (SPOC) in the Prostate Cancer Team. The role provides a dedicated patient contact from referral through diagnosis and treatment, ensuring timely information and practical support to patients and families.

The post holder will work within a nurse-led prostate cancer pathway, coordinating appointments and liaising with the wider team, with opportunities for training and development in a dynamic NHS

Qualifications

• Educated to diploma level or equivalent experience.
• Vast administrative and organisational experience with non-routine and complex problems.
• Ability to learn quickly and meet deadlines by prioritising and multi-tasking.

Responsibilities

• Providing a dedicated point of contact for patients and their families.
• Offering practical advice, support, and signposting throughout the patient journey.
• Coordinating appointments in a timely and efficient manner.
• Liaising with the Prostate Cancer Specialist Nursing Team and wider MDT.
• Improving the patient journey and overall experience of care.
• Supporting timely access to services.
• Monitoring patient experience feedback and cancer waiting time targets.
