•Following an initial training period, a typical working week will see you spending 60-80% of your time in court, prosecuting a wide range of offences and utilising your varied skill set to achieve desired outcomes. The rest of your time will be spent on case preparation.
•A combination of induction training, bespoke training modules, mentoring and on-the-job coaching makes a career as a Prosecutions Lawyer much more accessible to lawyers considering a change in direction.
•A genuine interest in criminal prosecutions, coupled with the qualification of Solicitor or Barrister in England and Wales are the basic requirements to be considered for this role. Whilst experience in a contentious area of law is preferable, this role is open to lawyers from all disciplines with the desire to learn.
•The ability to make solid and well-reasoned decisions is essential for this role, in addition to having exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
