Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace seeks a Lead Systems Engineer for Propulsion Control Systems to guide design, integration and validation of control architectures using MBSE.

You will lead cross-functional teams, ensure requirements are defined, traced and verified, and support certification efforts with regulators as needed. This role reports to the Senior Systems Engineer Manager and is based at our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid schedule, with global impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of aerospace systems engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• Strong knowledge of DO-178C/DO-254/ARP4754A.
• Proficiency with SysML or MATLAB/Simulink for architecture and requirements management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, integration and validation of propulsion control architectures.
• Champion MBSE tool adoption (SysML, MATLAB/Simulink) for modeling.
• Drive requirement validation, traceability and verification.
• Mentor multidisciplinary teams on architecture and MBSE.
• Identify and resolve technical risks with innovative solutions.
• Lead technical reviews and customer engagements.
• Support certification tasks and interface with regulators as needed.
