Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Principal Systems Architect Engineer for Propulsion Control Systems to drive the technical vision using advanced MBSE methodologies. You will lead requirement validation, traceability, and cross‑functional execution across hardware, software, and test teams.

The role requires deep aerospace systems engineering experience, DO‑178C/DO‑254/ARP4754A knowledge, and proficiency with SysML or MATLAB/Simulink.

Job description

• Architect and lead the development of advanced aerospace system architectures, applying MBSE principles and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Champion the adoption and integration of MBSE tools (e.g., SysML, MATLAB/Simulink) for system modeling, simulation, and requirements management.
• Oversee requirement validation, traceability, and verification activities, ensuring robust processes from concept through delivery.
• Mentor and guide multidisciplinary teams-including hardware, software, and test engineers-on system architecture, MBSE, and requirements validation best practices.
• Identify and resolve complex technical risks, providing innovative solutions to engineering challenges.
• Lead technical reviews and customer engagements, communicating system architecture and validation status effectively.
• Support certification processes and interface with regulatory agencies as needed.
  Minimum of 10 years of experience in systems engineering within aerospace or related industries.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• Extensive experience in systems engineering within the aerospace industry, focusing on system design and integration.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace standards such as DO-178C, DO-254, or ARP4754A and experience applying them to system development.
• Proficiency in systems modeling tools like SysML or MATLAB/Simulink for architecture and requirements management.
• Experience with requirements management software and system verification and validation processes.
