Job description

As a Proposal Manager, you develop proposals and cost estimations for our Marine Geotechnical service line. In this role, you support the commercial team in Nootdorp, Netherlands / Wallingford, United Kingdom, and the regional Marine Site Characterisation commercial group. You contribute to client meetings, business development activities, contract negotiations, and bid strategy.

Your role

• You develop proposals, cost estimations, and tender submissions related to geotechnical site investigation activities, ensuring they are produced on time and to high quality standards.
• You liaise with internal commercial and business development staff to prepare winning proposals aligned with Fugro's strategy and requirements.
• You engage with clients regularly to build strong business relationships and represent Fugro in meetings for proposal clarification and contract negotiations.
• You provide project management teams with hand-over briefings and commercial guidance.
• You maintain CRM systems and KPI monitoring tools.
• You contribute to Fugro's marketing strategies and promote company activities.

Your track record

• You hold at least a BSc. degree in Business/Science or have relevant experience in a similar role or offshore Geotechnical/Geophysical Survey career.
• You possess substantial knowledge of the Marine/Oil & Gas/Renewable Energy industries and technical disciplines like borehole drilling, CPTs, vibrocoring, etc.
• You are experienced in contract review, project management, and project finance, capable of managing deadlines and high workloads.
• You anticipate problems, intervene early, and possess excellent influencing and negotiation skills to achieve positive outcomes.
• You enjoy teamwork and have good communication skills in English (verbal and written).
