Aspen Insurance is seeking a highly skilled Property Underwriter to join their dynamic team in London. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilise your underwriting expertise within a globally recognised insurance company. You will be responsible for underwriting risks in accordance with the business plan and within delegated underwriting authority, with the aim of underwriting a profitable account for Aspen. What you'll do:

* Underwrite insurance risks in accordance with the business plan and within delegated underwriting authority

* Contribute to, monitor and advise on plan developments and changes to ensure relevancy, compliance and optimal delivery

* Apply specific expertise to advise and guide others within the team, ensuring accuracy, good practice and adherence to prescribed standards

* Respond to queries and requests as a subject matter expert within the team

* Negotiate rates/terms and conditions for existing and new business

* Support credit control in payment collection

* Participate in the review and analysis of the portfolio to identify progress toward business objectives

What you bring:

* Extensive knowledge of Property Underwriting

* Understanding of UK underwriting market

* Technical understanding of class-specific underwriting and reinsurance parameters

* Working knowledge of risk profiling, pricing tools and loss models

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills

* Proficient in MS Office applications e.g. Excel

* Ability to manage conflicting priorities to achieve deadlines
