I am currently recruiting for a leading Lloyd's Syndicate seeking a Property Facultative Underwriter to join their growing team.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience underwriting property business, focusing on international and XOL basis, with openness to primary business. The team consists of 6 members, managing a heavy fire severe book.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and implementing the business plan for the portfolio.
• Support execution of the business plan and participate in strategic meetings.
• Promote the department and company to maximize brand exposure.
• Implement reinsurance strategies to protect the portfolio.
• Execute reinsurance activities in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Follow underwriting standards and best practices to minimize risk.
• Record and assess insurance risks, including DUAs, and develop or adjust policy wordings.
• Apply reinsurance requirements to meet business goals.
• Engage in learning and development to enhance technical expertise.
• Underwrite complex risks, negotiate rates and terms, and ensure compliance.
• Review portfolio performance and ensure risks meet underwriting standards.
