Job summary

LC Legal is seeking a Property Associate/Senior Associate to join their nationally recognised social housing team in Birmingham. Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with 3+ years PQE or equivalent experience.
• Experience with complex property acquisitions, disposals and development matters.
• Strong understanding of property due diligence.
• Excellent drafting, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the acquisition and disposal of large-scale tenanted residential property portfolios
• Undertaking legal due diligence and supporting/overseeing less experienced team members
• Supporting Partners on complex affordable housing development projects
• Drafting, negotiating and, where appropriate, overseeing a broad range of property and development documentation
• Advising Registered Provider clients on property and development matters throughout the development lifecycle
• Coordinating legal due diligence exercises, identifying title, planning, construction and property-related risks, and proposing practical solutions alongside specialist construction, procurement, housing management, regulatory, governance and planning teams
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, consultants and legal advisers
• Delivering commercially focused legal advice within agreed timescales and budgets
• Acting as a key contact for clients/business introducers, connecting them with relevant expertise across the firm
• Contributing to business development, including tenders, quotations, pricing consistency and service offering reviews
• Supporting workshops, seminars and training sessions for clients and colleagues
• Supporting the development and mentoring of colleagues

We're working with a specialist, sector-focused law firm to find a Property Associate/Senior Associate to join their nationally recognised social housing team. This is a hybrid role, with the office base in Birmingham city centre.

You’ll support Partners on high-value development and stock rationalisation projects for Registered Providers, working on nationally significant affordable housing schemes.
